Pursuits

Who are Pursuits?

Pursuits are young people aged 14-17, they meet weekly during term time and half term. Pursuits have full control of their program, taking the lead and deciding as a group which activities we run.

What do Pursuits do?

Pursuits will have the freedom of choosing what they do each week, thinking big, mastering new skills and trying new things. Our pursuits have taken part in activities like building water rockets, weekend expeditions and high ropes courses - if you're up for it we will try and find a way to do it. You'll learn a lot and have a great time doing it.

In all of the activities you'll learn skills like problems solving, planning and preparation, that you can take into the real world as you become an adult. There's even the opportunity for you to come along and help at our younger age groups once you turn 14.

Where and when do Pursuits meet?

Pursuits meet Tuesdays 6:30 pm -8:30 pm during term time and half term holidays, normally at Wilverley Plain during the summer and Bashley Cricket Club during the winter. They also meet once during end of term holidays at the weekend 10am-2pm. As part of normal weekly sessions they'll also explore other parts of the New Forest in the summer and go on community visits in the winter to places like the local RNLI and fire station.

What does it cost?

Membership fees are charged termly at £78.40 and paid over 4 monthly payments of £19.60. This includes the normal weekly and end of term sessions, for the year this is around £2.50 an hour.

Autumn Term - September to December
Spring Term - January to April
