Pioneers
Who are Pioneers?
Pioneers are young people aged 6-9, they meet weekly during term time and half term. Pioneers have fun going on adventures, learning new skills and finding out about the world around them
What do Pioneers do?
Pioneers will spend as much time as possible outside with each other, they might be building dens, sleeping in tents or going on a trip to the beach. Although they won't be going on any expeditions yet, Pioneers will have some big adventures of their own, a trip to somewhere new or maybe even their first camp away from home.
Pioneers will learn to be resilient young people, strengthening their physical and mental wellbeing through outdoor pursuits. Building initiative, having the courage to get stuck in and take the lead.
Where and when do Pioneers meet?
Pioneers meet Wednesdays 6:00 - 7:30 pm during term time and half term holidays, on an area of private woodland in Lymington during the summer and Bashley Cricket Club during the winter. As part of normal weekly sessions they'll also explore other parts of the New Forest area in the summer and go on community visits in the winter to places like the local RNLI and fire station.
